About the business district

Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho-area (OMY area) is where Tokyo station is situated and adjacent to the Imperial Palace and Ginza district which is famous for shopping. The area is one of the world leading CBDs(Central Business District) with the accumulation of domestic top-rated companies, foreign-affiliated companies, and start-ups in a wide range of fields, as well as thirteen train stations and twenty-eight train lines which enable excellent access to cities all over the country. In this area, the large redevelopment projects are promoted by the public and private partnership. Furthermore, a variety of area vitalizing activities including utilization of the characteristic public spaces are seen which produce relaxing and lively scenes, attracting various kinds of people to the area.

The Otemachi – Marunouchi – Yurakucho (OMY) Council consists of almost all local landowners in OMY area. The council discusses future vision of the OMY district and considers development methods and rules for it. By implementing them based upon firm public-private partnership which is established with a local government, the council is committed to establishing a highly productive community and pursuing sustainable development projects in the OMY district which leads business in Tokyo.
