Punctuated by free outdoor concerts, the 43rd edition of La Défense Jazz Festival took place on the business district

From September 21 to 27, the 43rd edition of La Défense Jazz Festival took place on the business district. Punctuated by free outdoor concerts, the event hosted a National Jazz Competition open to groups of all ages and all nationalities residing in France.

Six selected groups performed on the main stage for a thirty-minute concert each. At the end of their performance, all candidates benefited from a privileged meeting and exchange with the jury, composed of journalists, presenters, programmers and press officers.

The jury has already rewarded a large number of leaders of the French jazz scene (Julien Lourau, Pierre de Bethman, Antoine Hervé, Le Sacre du Tympan, Erik Truffaz…)

An event expected by workers, residents and Parisians, that’s why Paris La Défense maintened its Jazz Festival, offering a format suitable with sanitary measures. A strong signal of solidarity in view of the difficulties encountered by the music industry and the event’s sector.
