Urban Artificial Intelligence: An Ongoing Revolution
Overview
Artificial intelligence has the potential to help urban stakeholders thrive and contribute to sustainable, diversified, and attractive cities. By better understanding and assessing the impacts of artificial intelligence on urban life and vice versa, AI can reduce operating costs and facilitate systemic changes, positively transforming cities’ services and infrastructures.
Given the widespread interest, incorporating AI into urban life presents an exciting opportunity for both people and organizations. Cities, as complex systems, offer a dynamic environment where AI can drive significant improvements. By addressing challenges and learning from past smart city initiatives, we can effectively harness AI’s potential to enhance urban living.
⇒ The web conference, led by Hubert Beroche, will present the results of pioneering work at the intersection of AI and urban development, sharing key takeaways to benefit from the ongoing urban AI revolution.
As the founder of Urban AI, Hubert Beroche institutionalized the study of urban artificial intelligence, and has built a large, global network of technologists, municipalities, start-ups, researchers, and other urban practitioners who interact with artificial intelligence in urban contexts. He collaborated with several worldwide cities and urban stakeholders to design and implement Urban Artificial Intelligence. He is the author of several pioneering works in this field. He is also a Lecturer at Sorbonne Université, Co-Founder of AI for Tomorrow and has a background in Urban Economics, Climate Policy and Management.
